Award-Winning Actor, Singer, Composer

Andrea J. Love is an NYC-based AEA actor, singer, composer/lyricist, and writer. She is a member of the acclaimed BMI Lehman Engle Musical Theatre Writers Workshop in both the advanced songwriting workshop and librettists workshop. She is also a member of The Collective, a musical theatre incubation workshop funded by Theatrical Rights Worldwide.

Actor

Andrea is a professional actor and member of Actor’s Equity Association.

Since getting her MFA in Acting, Andrea has worked at regional theatres around the country, including the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, Maples Repertory Theatre in Missouri, and Texas! Musical Drama. Andrea is a company member and writer/composer for Bike City Theatre Company in Davis, CA.

In 2017, her portrayal of Hope in Urinetown at Berkeley Playhouse won her the Theatre Bay Area Award for ‘Outstanding Female Actor in a Principal Role’ and a nomination from the Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Awards.

Singer

With a BA in Vocal Music Performance and four months studying opera in Milan, Andrea excels in a variety of genres including musical theatre, opera, jazz, choral, folk, and early classical music.

She was recently a featured vocalist at the historic El Campanil Theatre’s 90th Anniversary Gala, and was a featured vocalist in a New Years Eve Celebration at Rossmoor, organized by Esses Productions. In New York, she has performed at Greenroom 42, the Kaufman Music Center, and in many sound booths. She frequently records demos for her fellow composers, and will be starring in the upcoming musical podcast The Reality Shaper.

Writer & Composer

Andrea enjoys writing and composing, and has won multiple awards for both.

Current projects include The Parts I Keep Inside (written with composer Jeffrey Schmelkin), Lilith (co-written with Akaina Ghosh), Good Earth, (a children’s musical on tour in California), and various untitled projects still in their nascent phases of development through BMI and The Collective.
